This is a utility uniform jacket in HBT fabric used by the U.S. Marine Corps in the 1940s, primarily in the Pacific countries. Used item. Herringbone twill (HBT) fabric was used by the Marine Corps, Navy, and Army during WWII and is characterized by its durability. The P42 Marine Corps uniform is one of the most popular items in the collection. There is also a frogskin camouflage jacket of the same type, but this monochromatic work uniform in particular is a representative uniform used by the U.S. Marine Corps as a mainstay with a large number of production numbers.

This particular piece is in good condition overall with no tears, and although there is some fading and tanning, the stencil on the chest is still there and in good condition. One of the characteristics of clothing used by the Marine Corps is that it has handwritten names and recognition numbers, and this garment also has handwritten writing on the lining at the back of the neck. Unfortunately, the bottom front button has no metal button and has been replaced by another button. It is in good condition and can still be enjoyed. It is a used item and cannot be returned. Please understand.
