We call it Okinawa Tiger, but it is identical to the pattern also known as John Wayne or JWD by collectors. It should be noted that it still has the red stamp that indicates it was inspected at the time. It is very difficult to read, but it can be said that it was definitely inspected in Okinawa, because it is written "MIYAZATO". MIYAZATO" is a common surname in Okinawa Prefecture, and there is no other surname with the same name in mainland Japan. This is a great piece that shows what the new condition was like at the time. There is no fading, and although there are some stains and wrinkles due to storage, it is still in a condition that can be enjoyed. There are some stains on the buttons. The buttonholes are clean, so we assume that this is a relatively early Tiger shirt made in Osaka or Wakayama in mainland Japan.
