From the late 1940s to the early 1960s, the Japan Jacket was sold as a souvenir to American soldiers stationed in Japan and their families, and in Japan it is commonly known as a Sukajan. It is characterized by the different colors on the reverse side, and is famous for its embroidery of a tiger, cranes, and the Japanese archipelago on the chest and back. Originally sold to Americans during the Korean War, the jackets later evolved into Vietnam tour jackets and commemorative jackets with their own embroidery and year.
The jacket presented here has a tiger on the red face chest, a map of Japan and the word JAPAN on the back, Mt. Fuji and flowers on the black face chest, and a bird perched on a pine tree and the word JAPAN motif embroidered on the back. The zipper is not damaged, and the ribs are in good condition with beautiful condition. The quality of the embroidery chorality and the jacket is also of excellent workmanship with a sense of good old-fashioned quality. It is in excellent condition with no noticeable scratches or stains. It is still in good condition and can be enjoyed. It is a used item and cannot be returned. Please understand.
