This is a deadstock 2nd Model Jungle Fatigue Jacket from a mid-1960s lot. It was found in a footlocker by our store and is slightly stained, but has not been used. It has no name tape and still has the green beret patch, NCO rank insignia, and branch tape. There are two items of note. One is the branch tape. All are first time attached. Very rare, the stencil name tape was used on HBT fabric and was locally made. Usually cotton twill fabric is used, but for some reason an alternative fabric was used for this rare tape. Another is the lack of epaulettes; the 3rd Model also has an eclectic type, but the epaulettes are not sewn on, although there are many features of the 2nd Model, such as the position of the tag, gas flap, and adjuster on the back. Judging from the overall characteristics, it can be said to be a 2nd Model. Overall, it is a very good jacket, and all the patches are from the same period, so there are no problems with familiarity, and it is a jacket that can be enjoyed overall. The size is SMALL-SHORT, a popular size. Although this jacket has never been used, there is some deterioration over time. The buttons and other parts have also deteriorated.
