A Silver Tiger Stripe camouflage shirt used in Vietnam during the mid-1960s, at the height of the Vietnam War. Among the many tiger patterns, this highly popular design—commonly known as the “Silver Tiger”—is characterized by its distinctive blackish contrast and sharp stripes. It earned this nickname because the fabric tends to fade to a white hue over time.

This particular piece is in deadstock condition. It retains the crisp texture of the fabric—a hallmark of unused items—and the deep, unfaded color, making it a superb piece that allows you to experience the authentic atmosphere of the era firsthand. An “A-L” stamp is visible on the inside, and the rough, authentic details characteristic of local production are another of its charms.

The jacket’s cut is a simple, highly practical utility style. The front flap pockets and slightly shorter length were designed with mobility in mind for the battlefields of the time, yet the balance allows it to blend seamlessly into modern fashion. There are no pockets for bandages on the sleeves.

Each tiger-stripe jacket has a unique character; this silver tiger pattern, in particular, is highly regarded in the market, and deadstock pieces in good condition are extremely difficult to find. This is a masterpiece that is perfect not only for a collection but also for wearing to truly appreciate its charm.
