The CIDG Patrol Cap, a distinctive hat that was active from the early days of the Vietnam War, has been reproduced in detail using the Silver Tiger fabric of the MILITARIA 1911 reissue to be released in 2023. However, this time we have obtained a real CIDG hat in excellent condition. We have precisely sampled the characteristic shape of the top and the size of each part. We sampled and reproduced as much as possible from the real hat, including the adjustable strap on the back, which is another feature of the hat. The actual fabrics used are various, including several types of tiger stripes and veogam camouflage. Historically, CIDG hats were gradually replaced by boonie hats, which were more suitable for mass production, due to their complicated sewing and many parts. However, we hope you will also enjoy the early Vietnam War patrol caps, which were developed in a unique way, such as being adjustable in size, while still retaining the appearance of the field caps of WWII and the Korean War. We hope you will enjoy our early Vietnam War patrol caps, which are different from boonie hats in terms of charm.

Our fabrics are made to fade like the real thing. It will take a few months to a few years for the whole fabric to fade to white like the original. Please do not fade or age the fabric in ways that exceed our expectations, such as boiling water, as with the shirts and pants that are already on sale. Please enjoy the changes that will gradually fade over time as you use it over and over again.

Two sizes are available. L and M. The horizontal values are approximate.

The back side has a strap to adjust the size. Therefore, the corresponding size is roughly indicated, but there are two sizes available.

Our cotton fabric will shrink. The horizontal shrinkage is -0.8% and the vertical shrinkage is -2%. Shrinkage will be reduced by stretching it gently when it is wet.
