This is an actual U.S. Navy G-1 flight jacket from the 1971 contract lot. It is a size 42 and a popular size. The Navy's G-1 was developed in the 1930s and was worn mainly by fighter pilots in the Marine Corps as well as the U.S. Navy, and was first used in earnest in the 1940s, with the A-2 of the U.S. Army Air Corps, which was its rival, also active during that time. It is a leather flight jacket with a long history, having been used until the 1970s. The Army was involved in the development of this jacket, but as a result, it was used by the Navy and Marine Corps. It was officially adopted again in 1984 due to high demand.

This G-1 flight jacket is a very popular size, 42, and has been kept in very good condition with little hardening or deterioration of the leather. Unlike other branches, the Navy has looser regulations on flight jackets, and many of their flight jackets are highly individualized, with patches and illustrations applied by individual pilots. This one is one of them and has a great atmosphere with a high level of fashion. The zipper is open in the photo, but it is movable. The zipper is movable, and although the movement is a little sluggish, it can be opened and closed without any problem. The zipper is made of CONMAR brass. The boa has little wear and is still an active jacket. This jacket is warmer than it looks as it is a flight jacket for the intermediates zone. It is a good choice for a larger flight jacket in that sense as it can be worn inside to cut more warmth. This is a used item and cannot be returned. Please understand.
