This is a 1970 USAF helmet bag. This rare bag was produced during a very limited time period and features an ERDL camouflage liner. The cotton inside is thicker than the poncho liner and softer to protect the helmet. This bag was made to carry personal belongings and pilot helmets before boarding airplanes, and was used not only by the U.S. Air Force but also by Army helicopter pilots and other pilots, and was used for all aviation helmets. The liner is usually made of OD nylon fabric, but this is a rare ERDL camouflage liner.
The surface is in Used condition with a lot of dirt on the lower part. There are no major damages, but it is in the condition it was actually used at the time. The zipper also works, but is a little reluctant to move, so we recommend that you maintain it before use. It is a used item and cannot be returned. Please understand.
