The "G-1 Flight Jacket", a traditional masterpiece of the U.S. Navy, is now in stock.
This is an actual item made in 1969, based on contract number "DSA 100-69-C-1545". The manufacture is THE MARTIN LANE CO., INC. and the label shows MIL-J-7823D (WP). A flight jacket for the U.S. Navy's Intermediate Zone. It is treated the same as the Air Force's MA-1.
The soft and supple leather has an excellent texture and shows no signs of hardening or cracking, which is common in older leather jackets. It is in very good condition and is an extremely well-conditioned vintage G-1. The collar is decorated with dark mouton fur, further enhancing the classic look.
Ribbed knit at the waist and sleeves for wind protection. Two large flap pockets on the front provide both storage and design. The size 44 is large and can be worn with an inner layer.
