The A-2 is a typical summer season flight jacket model adopted by the Army Air Forces (later USAAF) in 1931. This means it is manufactured for summer season temperatures in the sky. It is designed for temperatures of approximately 20 to 10 degrees Celsius. The simple design pursuing practicality and the aging of the leather that gets better as it is worn are still highly popular among collectors and fashion lovers all over the world.

This item was made in the 1940s and has typical A-2 specifications. It was manufactured by Rough Wear Clothing Co., a prestigious military apparel manufacturer in Middletown, Pennsylvania.
