Their operations extended beyond South Vietnam to include Laos and Cambodia, and they are known for employing equipment and tactics distinct from those of conventional units.Particularly interesting is their creative approach to equipment.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn special operations units at the time, it was common not only to use issued military uniforms as-is but also to customize them or apply camouflage patterns to suit the mission or the environment of the infiltration area.
